Mr Thimbleina last night was awarded 'manager's player' of the year with the veteran's football team that he plays for (he deserves it for the amount of pain he comes home with after bad tackles). We are all so proud of him! and the trophy has taken pride of place in the trophy cabinet.
This was not even the result of a little person touching, this was me not being very careful, butterfingers me, yes I broke my little teapot's lid and now I'll have to find a replacement. I am so annoyed with myself.
I have managed to squeeze in a little bit of sewing for myself in between, 'mummy, mummy can I do some sewing?... mummy, mummy what does this button do?...mummy,mummy can I cut this with these scissors? ... Agghhh no that is my new blouse that you are cutting!!'
It does look better in real life, you can't see the fabric very well, it is a black cotton lawn with flowers in black thread sewn on to it. I'm really pleased with it, we just need some warm sun to come out here so that I can wear it, it is raining and miserable today. To cheer us up we are attempting to make mango ice lollies, not sure how they will turn out I will let you know.
We did go out today in the car and found a great farm shop that I hadn't seen before. The shop has fresh fish and local meat. I bought the sausages recommended by one of the butchers- pork, apple and stilton and they were yummy!. There were about 10 different varieties of sausage. There were lovely little chocolate frogs, ladybirds, bumble bees and sugar mice, but what did lady A want, mini marshmallows. Well I bought a frog and ladybird to look at perhaps I might eat them.
