We did a Christmas swap with Mama Funk. Ian and Angel sent us the most generous parcel that we received yesterday. Just look at all those lovely Christmas books to add to our collection. The one without a title is a Jan Brett version of Clement C Moore's -'Twas the night before Christmas' All the Jan Brett books have such beautiful illustrations. The book at the back is really good it is a picture puzzle/riddle where you have to find Christmas related items in the very busy pictures - it is going to keep the kids amused for hours looking for the things in the pictures. We also received:
They also sent all these lovely sweeties, some log pieces, a wooden train and some Smencils which smell of Christmas smells.
A little present just for me in there. A magazine that I have been wanting to read for ages after seeing on other blogs - I can't get it here in the UK as far as I know unless I have a subscription which I didn't want to do incase I didn't like it once I read it. Angel so kindly sent some felt and needle so I can try some of the projects in the issue. Can't wait to start with this.
Todays advent surprise was a snowflake cookie cutter so today the kids made cookies. Lady A made ones to give to her friends and school and the teachers with a homemade Christmas decoration attached
We also fetched the Christmas tree and decorated that so we were quite busy today
